I know this is a special weekend in the US, but shouldn't it be a time to remember those from all countries who have given their lives valiantly for their countries or causes!

Sure. Let them do it in there own country. It's there freedom of choice to do so.
 
I would thing that every country would have a Day to Honor thoes that have surved there country.
