I'm using version 6.1.4.3 of AnyDVD and version 2.9.0.3 of Clone DVD.

The movie is Spider-Man 2, the double DVD Set.

I'm backing up everything but the previews.

Sounds like you may have a flaw in the disc. Have you tried just using the ripper for AnyDVD?

Or have you tried running it through DVD Shrink?

Yes. There's just css protection on this disc. Nothing else.

D.R., if you want, run a scan on the disc using VSO Inspector (it's a free program):
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/inspector/inspector.php

If VSO inspector tells you there's a read error, your disc is damaged.

You can try cleaning the disc, repairing the disc (if there are scratches), or exchanging the disc.

Even if a disc plays fine, it doesn't mean it is fine.

I'll agree there. To me, with nothing special on it, it would seem that you should just be able to flat out copy the flick. I got a disc repairer here at home, but I rarely use it.
