big changelog :)
...but still impossible to make a lossless dolby digital copy without replace the mencoder exe :(

I just encoded a chapter of Superhero Movie to DivX and Ipod Video (v1.7.0.0).
DivX was fine. Ipod video audio was out of sync :(

Avatar - iPod Touch works

I just encoded a chapter of Superhero Movie to DivX and Ipod Video (v1.7.0.0).
DivX was fine. Ipod video audio was out of sync :(
Just encoded full Avatar DVD with iPod Touch profile (43mins). No problems. Random seeking (using iTunes 9.1.0.79 and Media Player Classic - Home Cinema 1.3.1249.0) showed audio in sync (haven't had time to watch it yet).

Testing

I plan to run a few test using different settings and the same input (Band of Brothers Episode One). I will post the results when I am done.
All of my tests will be completed using Generic Divx.
I have completed one test: 720x404 2-Pass deinterlace and WMP did not recognize the codec. I have never had this problem and have Divx 7. Any tips would be appreciated.

I did not experiance this issue testing 6.2.2.2 and was using 720x480 NTSC 1-Pass deinterlace.
I will try that setting again with 1.7.0.0 as well as other setting and post the results.

thanks this version seems to be working
there is no pipe error in divx

The codec is DIVX which is Divx 4 and later (Open Divx) - nothing new there.
Use Gspot to see if your system can render the video (use MS A/V option). WMP version? Set to update codecs automatically? Try Media Player Classic - Home Cinema (freeware) to view. There may be a problem with your Divx Decoder Filter setup - reinstalling your codec pack should fix it.

Failed generic divx 2 and 3 pass

After bsa posted about divx problem I tried Rocknrolla again with generic divx profile - 2 pass and it failed - log attached.
1 pass worked ok.
3 pass also failed (log attached).

The developers need logfiles to sort out these problems. Save transcoder log (see button in CDM window) - zip it and upload (Manage Attachments).

I had no problem with mpeg2-pass through (nor with mpeg2 re-encode) on first chapter of my test title (Rocknrolla).

...because Clone DVD Mobile Crash or give an Error.

By using this Profil:

Code:
[* Generic (DivX) DD Test]
Res1=320x240
Res2=480x360
Res3=640x480
Res4=720x540
ResAna1=320x180
ResAna2=480x270
ResAna3=640x360
ResAna4=720x404
ResAna5=852x480

mopts=-lameopts cbr:br=%abrate%
lavcopts=vcodec=mpeg4
moac=copy

FileType=avi
ARate=48000
ABRate=320
MVolume=10
Quality=23
useMencoder=1
SubTitle=1
MaxVBitrate=3000

i get this Error
"ERROR: Parameters for mp3lame are only allowed if used as audio codec. Using 'copy'."
Pipe wurde beendet

Same Error after removing this lines/lame options:
Code:
mopts=-lameopts cbr:br=%abrate%
ABRate=320
for "copy" is useless to set a const/varia bitrate because mencoder should use the original bitrate

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

if using this profil map:
Code:

(by the way i use only german dvds)

here you have the CDVDM Log and the Encoder Log:

Problems

I am afraid that I am having problems with Batman Begins when I do a third pass with Subtitles, it works fine with one pass and subtitles, but didn't try it with a second. Incidently it works fine with Batman the Dark Knight and the Day After Tomorrow with three passes and the subtitle.

here you have the CDVDM Log and the Encoder Log:

That parameter is used twice. Only the first one is considered leaving mencoder with no selected audio codec.

Code:
lavcopts=vcodec=mpeg4:acodec=copy

I need the stage file from this. ffmpeg commits suicide because an internal assertation fails.

To get the stage file, open the transcoder log and look in the first line: -passlogfile "C:/Documents and Settings/jgarci10/Desktop/mencmpass4772"

You may still have exactly this file, otherwise you have to reencode until Mobile stops. The name is temporary and changes every time.

Is 1.7.0.0 supposed to convert 2-channel LPCM audio? If not, I'll just use the AC3 stream during conversion.

If so, please let me know and I'll post the log file. I'm getting a broken pipe error when I try to convert LPCM audio to the iPod Touch profile.

Sidebar: so far, this new version has fixed all of my audio sync and iPod sync issues that I had with 1.6.x.0. Well done!

I am still new to reporting this stuff, I posted the log file in the zip, was their something else that I missed or erased, I have no problem with redoing it, if it will help the development process.

Thank you now works fine :)

EDIT: ...or not :(
Mobile Crash when using the German Audio Track

The German trailer i have ripped for my first test works fine!?

(when using the standard mp3 profil looks like everything is ok with the german audio track)

Code:
-acodec copy and -vol are incompatible (frames are not decoded)

Remove the MVolume= parameter too. FFmpeg is a little bit fussy.
