answer to ur questions

I am using AnyDVD 6.1.3.3. and CloneDvd2 2.9.0.3.
I am using Maxell DvD+R disks
I Have tried to burn on every speed no lower then 6
I have a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-831S 1.01 412111KME1744017803 for my driver
I just purchased Both AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. When I
tried to Copy a DVD multiple times, It wont write into the
DVD+R cds. A window pops out and it says the following:
“Writing to video media was not successful: media write
error”
A write error has occurred, probably caused by a bad
media.
Please Replace the media and try again.

Details: WriteDVD10 11 W2

so what kind of driver is preferred and how much would that be?
And what other programs are good programs for burning DvD's that would work with AnyDVD? DvdShrink? Nero? ANything?

Doesn't matter what program you use if you use junk blank media:

read http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=2516 (and take a good look at #1, 2, and 4)

Also, let me see if you're not having a conflict of some sort with another program:

Click Start, Run
type regedit

Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Check the values in "LowerFilters" and "UpperFilters". List everything there

Webslinger - Not my thread, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I have these entries in the registry:

LowerFilters - AnyDVD PxHelp20
LowerFilters_1 - PxHelp20 AnyDVD
UpperFilters - GEARAspi WDM

Should I have two LowerFilters, what is PxHelp20 (I have Showbiz 2 DVD installed - SONIC, I think), and finally what is GEARAspi WDM?

I currently am not experience any problems that I know of - other than the DVDs seem to be a bit slower than I'd like.

Any info would be greately appreciated.

Thanks

from http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/about4719.html

pxhelp20 - Part of Sonic Burning engine, it's made by prassi/veritas and licensed to Sonic. Comes with Winamp, 1click DivxToDVD and (older versoins of) Digion Audio.

Pxhelp20 should be fine.

UpperFilters - GEARAspi WDM

GearASPIWDM - Part of the Gear burning engine. Comes with iTunes and Drive Image 7.0.

I wouldn't worry about GearAspi nor Pxhelp20.

Should I have two LowerFilters

If you have "lowerfilters" and "lowerfilters_1", only "lowerfilters" applies.
"Lowerfilters_1" is probably a void backup entry possibly created by another program.

CloneDVD2, you can try a 21 free trial .

I had this problem with my pioneer 109 at times and the pioneer 109 was not one of there best drives. I found that I could take the same disk and use them in my pioneer 111 and never have the problem. I also found that I could blow of the dvds with air since they would at time have small particles on them and they would then burn in the 109.

Lowerfilters:
ElbyDelay
AnyDVD

Upperfilters:
GEARAspiWDM

1. Look for a firmware upgrade. I'm pretty sure that's an old firmware. A newer one may address writing issues.

Matshita (Panasonic) are basically oem drives, and the company does not provide official firmware downloads. You can try asking https://sec.panasonic.co.jp/psec/sec-cgi-bin/e_ask.cgi to see if they have a firmware update available for you, but basically you need to contact whomever sold you the drive. For future reference Matshita burners tend to be horrible, and you will have terrible problems trying to use Anydvd when the region of disc won't match the region of the drive.

Read http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.php?p=637240&postcount=2 for more information about region issues with your drive.

2. Use better blank media (ensure it's supported by your burner):
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4764653&postcount=25

Your filters are fine, by the way.
