I am having a problem making a back up of this movie.

I have read ALL the posts on this site on how others have burnt it but, nothing has worked for me.

I also updated my Soney Burners FirmWare.

I am using the newest versions of cloneDVD2 2.9.0.3 and AnyDVD 6.1.0.3 and also am running DVD Region + CSS Free 5.9.8.5

Here is the error I get from CloneDVD2:

Unable to read video files from

G:/VIDEO_TS
G:/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO:Unable to open file

The disk structure is corrupt and unreadable.

I have done everything as suggested and still can't get this to work.

Casino Royal is giving the same problems.

Please do step 8 from http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=393 with Casino Royale

1. Did you use Anydvd ripper? If so, that's the problem.

2. It's possible your original discs are bad. Try exchaning them.

3. Some drives have problems with these newer Sony discs. Try another drive.

Well, that appears to be normal (and purplexed backed it up without issue using the same software):

More than likely you have bad original discs (but it could also be your drive/reader).

Anyway, let's take a look at your filters.

Click Start, Run
type regedit

Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Check the values in "LowerFilters" and "UpperFilters". List everything there

UpperFilters

InCDPass
incdrm

what I posted above, is this all correct?

These 2 movies are driving me nuts.

LowerFilters
Cdr4_xp

CDR4_XP - Used by Roxio Easy Media Creator, WinOnCD 6, DragtoDisc and DirectCD.

Part of Sonic Burning engine, it's made by prassi/veritas and licensed to Sonic. Comes with Winamp, 1click DivxToDVD and (older versoins of) Digion Audio.

Cdralw2k - Used by Roxio Easy Media Creator, WinOnCD 6.

pwd_2k - Used by Adaptec Direct CD

Horrible, horrible packet writing software. Remove it. Uninstall Directcd.

InCDPass - Part of the Nero InCD engine. Comes with Nero 6.x/7.x.x if you choose to install it.

More packet writing software. Uninstall Incd.

incdrm - Part of the Nero InCD engine. Comes with Nero 6.x/7.x.x if you choose to install it.

Brutal. Get rid of that Incd junk.

1. Uninstall Directcd and Incd

These programs are known to cause issues with Anydvd; and they are horrible programs. If you want that kind of packet writing functionality use a dvd-ram drive instead.

2. Test again

3. Uninstall the other programs that I listed above until they are no longer listed in your filters.

4. Test again

I removed nero from my system and now it seems so far I can access Saw 3 to burn it.

I have a question about this now.

If I choose to burn only the movie, Quality says 80%, there are 4 AC-3/2 audio streems, do I need all of those, or is it safe to remove some of those to get the quality back to 100%

I removed nero from my system

You just need to remove Incd (this does come with Nero, but you don't need to uninstall all of Nero--just incd) and Directcd (this use to come with Roxio). Seriously if you haven't uninstalled Incd and Directcd, do so. Packet writing software just causes problems.

1. After you read http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=2690&postcount=4 you will
have a better understanding of what audio streams you need and don't need.

2. http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476
(read and print it out if you have to; but follow it step by step)

One more question about Casino Royal.

Burning just the movie, the quality is at 72% and there is nothing that I can remove to bring the quality up to 100%, I guess this means that I need to use 2 disks for this movie?

I don't know. I don't own that movie. Other than removing subtitles, certain audio tracks, and the menus, there's not much else you can remove.

I guess this means that I need to use 2 disks for this movie?

If you select "dvd-5" near Clonedvd2's quality bar, it will compress the video so that it will fit on a normal single layer blank. So, no, you don't need to use 2 single layer discs. You can if you want to (split the movie across two single layer discs). The choice is yours.

Read http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476 fully (especially steps 10 and 12)

Thanks for all the help but, I can't find powerdvd on my PC, I have it on the uninstall window to remove it but I can't find it in my start menu under all programs.
