I had a poblem backing up this title using anydvd 6.5.2.3 and clonedvd. It stops at 55% read error.

There doesn't appear to be anything special with respect to protection this disc.

So, I would suspect it's a borderline defective original disc or drive (or issues arising from filters) despite the dvd being published by Lions Gate.
