This version should fix issues with new BD+ versions, e.g. "Die another Day" or "The Happening". I say "should" because the changes are untested. People having these discs are invited to try this version.

Further, there is a new option to disable BD-Live. There are no changes / enhancements for standard definition DVDs.

WARNING: This version has major changes, there is a good chance something is broken. People with limited computer knowledge not able to revert to a previous version should *not* install this beta!!!!

Feedback is welcome from everybody else.

6.4.7.8 2008 10 22
- New (Blu-ray): Added option to disable BD-Live
- New (Blu-ray): Added removal of region locks from menus
- New (Blu-ray): Added support for new version of the BD+ copy protection
- Some minor fixes and improvements
- Updated languages

I've got IronMan I can try it out on. I'll give it a shot in a few minutes.

I tested the Iron Man German Bluray with activated "BD-Live disable". My PowerDVD v8.0.2021a still don`t goes to the Menu. I download and test the new released build 2217 now.

EDIT: Works fine with 2217. If i enable BD-Live support and click on the menu, PowerDVD returns me to the menu instead of connecting to the BD-Live server. When i disable that function, BD-Live works again.

No problems on the region 1 version. Disabled BD Live perfectly and was able to play no problems in PowerDVD 7.3.

One of the BD-Live disks I have issues with, and has been reported, is Transformers. This version did not fix the Region Code issue, where if AnyDVD removes the Region Code the movie will not play in PDVD. PDVD will launch, but only display a black screen with no audio. If I disable the Region Code, Disable BD-Live, and Remove Anoying Trailers and Adverts features, the movie will play as it should. I have tested this on both the ripped ISO and physical disk.

ironman d1 plays fine.ripping at the moment,hope it works.

That's mostly true. :) The movie itself is fine, and disabling BD Live works great. However, it's been discovered that the BD Live content doesn't work with AnyDVD enabled because it downloads AACS protected m2ts files. I think Peer is looking into this but I'm not 100% positive on that. He's the one that mentioned this fun issue so I can only assume he finds it intriguing. :D

Thanks for this, I deleted everything in the PDVD cache and with the 'Disable BD-live option switched on I can now play back my image of Sleeping Beauty in 7.3 4407:bowdown:

It's in your application data folder under your user profile. Look for a cyberlink folder.

I just deleted everything in the cyberlink folder in there and it now works fine

It's certainly not a log file! It's a cache directory. As Adbear said, delete the whole folder. It'll get recreated.

hmm I haven't find that yet, I guess I will look again. Thanks SamuriHL!
