Notification coverage

We've been having pretty good success with the "automatic notification" as we do it via optional newsletter and info balloon if the default is left alone.
We even get notes asking us to stop it. So you see, it is simply not possible to reach 100% with so many varied users. Thanks for your suggestion nevertheless. ;)

Seems like vBulletin has a way to get an RSS of a forum topic but it has been a while since I messed with it.

Hi.

Slysoft should have an rss feed that is updated and tells people when new updates are available. A lot of other sites have rss and it is kind of dissapointing that slysoft doesn't.

SlySoft does not even have a news page on their main site, so there would be scarcely anything to syndicate at the moment. (And regular software updates do not really qualify for serious news items, do they? There have been considerations to introduce a news feed, but some people at SlySoft prefer to have others writing press reports about us rather than of "producing" our own news.)

However, there are other ways to keep track of software updates until we introduce a RSS feed for software updates:
  • You can turn on the update notification function for your SlySoft software product. For AnyDVD, that would be "Automatically check for new AnyDVD version" in "Program Settings".
  • As a regular customer, you can re-subscribe the update notification newsletter by sending a support request.
  • Our PAD-Files for AnyDVD, CloneDVD, CloneCD and GameJackal are updated with every software release.

Seems like vBulletin has a way to get an RSS of a forum topic but it has been a while since I messed with it.

With recent versions of Firefox and MSIE, you should see a RSS subscription button next to the address bar. The RSS feed URLs for the SlySoft forum are:
Greetings,
Joe

Can't get any easier than that, it was more of a pain back when I was running a board.
