Is it supposed to take a very long time?

I have a movie that skips since I bought it, and thought I would make a new one (backup) with this so it wouldn't skip.

I get a "read errors" message and I told it to ignore them.

I admit I don't know what I am doing; but I am trying. :)

So this info is being saved on my hard drive, I hope to eventually make it into a DVD...
