You have bad original discs (even if they play fine) or a slowly dying drive.

These are your options (in order of likelyhood):

A. The original disc is bad even if it plays fine. Exchange it.

B. The disc is dirty. Clean it.

C. Your drive is slowly dying. Try a different drive.

D. The cable on the back of your drive is bad. Exchange it.

Hello and pardon

1. Try setting the A.I. scanner in Anydvd to "always enabled" (click red fox icon-->navigate to "video dvd"-->"settings"-->"Always enabled (not recommended)"). Obviously when using regular commercial dvd-video dvds, change the A.I. scanner back to "default".

2. I recommend trying a different drive.

Someone I know had no issues backing up, Cars Region 1, and this appears to be the same dvd.

What country is this dvd from?

1. It's probably a bad original disc. Exchange it

2. Update your drive's firmware: click http://www.liteonit.com/DOWNLOADS/ODD/LH-20A1P/firmware/KL0P.zip

3. You can try lowering your drive's read speed (try enabling speed control in Anydvd. Select "slow and quiet"). See if that helps.
