Was I the only person who did NOT like No Country For Old Men? So many people told me how great it was, but I just didn't enjoy it. And I can appreciate "different" movies, but it didn't sit well with me.

What did you think?

I agree with you.

Charlie, did you have the multitudes telling you how awesome it was too?

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you haven't seen the movie and don't wanna know what happens, do not read the next few sentences.

I can appreciate when the normal guy dies, or when the bad guy wins, or when you're left hanging bigtime throughout the movie, or when the hitman sent after the hitman actually gets killed (and Woody Harrelson went out like a chump), or when Tommy Lee Jones tells all his weird stories, or when you introduce a weapon that no ones ever thought about using, or the obscure actors/actoresses, but not all in the same movie. Maybe I was just hyped up too much...........

Yes allot of people said it was a great flick so I was told. I wonder about them now. Psycho's are ok ut this one was a bummer.

Webslinger, I appreciate all answers and opinions. I don't mind psycho movies, but this one didn't seem to have a point.

I enjoyed the Godfather, because I love gangster movies, but I've enjoyed other gangster/mob movies much more than the actual Godfather. Casino, Scarface, even the TV show The Sopranos. Anything with guys named Big Pu$$y, Sal, Vito, Uncle Junior, Tony, and Rocko are my kinda flicks, LOL.

It was one of the best movies I've ever seen.

Holy crap God forbid a movie is made that doesn't ape the same crap over and over again that American cinema has been spewing out for the last three decades.

What is wrong with people. :(

No Country was a great middle of a movie. I felt like I missed the beginning and the ending didn't wrap anything up.

Just because we didn't like it doesn't mean we like "different" movies. It just means we didn't like it.

Nothing is wrong with people just because they disagree with you! I thought the movie was interesting but not great by any means. I mean, what kind of a hit man runs around with a bulky air cannister so that he has to practically be touching his victim to kill him. Didn't you find that kind of odd? I thought the acting was great, but not the movie. What happened at the end? Did he get the money, kill the girl, did he just break his arm and go away to live happily ever after? And Tommy Lee's character, this hardened old time sheriff, he just gives up trying to get this guy who killed 30 or so people and decides to retire? The director could have tied up at least some of the loose ends, or did he make this movie after watching the Sopranos' finale?

I enjoyed the movie. I felt it could have ended about 10 minutes sooner. The last speech by Tommy Lee could have been edited out.

are you kidding me? this was a GREAT movie. i enjoyed it ALOT! but different strokes for different folks

To me it was one of those movies that was technicly perfect, but just not a great film. Let's say it was lesser than the sum of its parts. :)

I didn't like it at all. It was incredibly sloooowww and the plot was just plain dumb. Not only me, but when my husband and 2 oldest sons walk away from a movie without pausing it, come back later to give it another try and still end up walking away, it's a definite sign that the movie is not a keeper.
