Right mouse the task bar fox and click "exit"

1. Click start. Right click on "My computer"--->select "properties".
2. Click on the 'Hardware' tab--->click the 'device manager' button.
3. Open the dvd/cdrom branch---> right click on your optical drive
4. Click "properties".
5. You should have a region tab. From there you can select a region.
6. Select the region that matches YOUR COUNTRY.
7. Start Anydvd

This eliminates the issue of "no region" being set.

;)

In addition to what shannon90210 wrote, right-click on the fox icon on your toolbar and select "Rip video-dvd to Hard Disk". Choose your source and destination paths. Click "Copy", and wait for Anydvd ripper to finish. You can then import that rip into whatever program you want. This is an important step if the original disc contains structural protection.

Thanks I'll try this...I don't want to lock down the region so I never set it. I'll try the rip...actually I think this DVD I have may have a scratch as I cannot play it on my TV either

You need to if you want Anydvd to work properly.

If you get a file io3 error message, then that's probable.
