I have both AnyDVD HD and Clone DVD on my system. Which program would give the best quality playback ripped to hard drive? Also, when I come to burn a DVD from the ripped files, does it matter whether I have used AnyDVD HD or CloneDVD 2?
 
CloneDVD does not do any HD formats as of yet so it is of not use. AnyDVD does not do any kind of burning/editing/recompressing, it will rip the disk to your HD with the encryption removed though.

There are tons of how to posts as far as editing the content to shrink the size etc.

you could also use clone cd or imgburn to make an ISO file becuasse your gonna need it if your using an newer version of powerdvd to play your files because it wont play from the hard drive
and then get a mounting tool like virtual drive or daemon tools lite to mount and play the movie
 
I tried few different ways before and I found this is the best, the only way I will use now and going forward.
