Hey, I am a newly registered user of GameJackal, I tried out the demo for about a week before buying.

I mainly got it for command and conqure 3: kane's wrath.
when I was using the demo 3.0.1.0, I had no problems with kane's wrath. but after I registered it, I have to now recreate a profile everyday (literally) to play it, now that is a pain in the ass. it tells me that either a.) there is no disk inserted or b.) that I cannot play this game from a backup, please reinsert the original disk.
i can do that, but it seems counter productive for a program that is supposed to allow me to play my game without having to grab the cd and place it into the drive.

Any help would be appriciative

p.s. current version of C&C3: Kane's wrath is 1.0

and I am running XP Pro SP2 with an AthalonXP 2000+
playing a DVD version of the game in english
using SecureRom v. 7.36.0010 according to Protection iD

Edit the profile and select advanced options. From here make sure "Game management" is set to fully supported.

If the profile still fails, you should be able to use the update function to fix it.

The issue here relates to a bug in pre v3.0.1.0 that caused profiles (when created) to not set the Game management value correctly.
 
can I go a bit O/T here and ask what "Game Management" is and how it works?

Kane's wrath doesn't work for me either. I will work for one day, but the next day the profile won't work, it requires the disk to be inserted. The error says to insert the real disk, not a back-up disk.

I tried the suggesions suggeste above but "Game management" was already set correctly. I don't know what the "update function" is, is that what I am missing?

The details are the same as the previous poster except for
windows xp, 32bit
athlon FX60
 
C&C III & C&C III: Kane's Wrath run just fine with GJ 3.0.1.1b.

I too was getting the "Please insert original disc" with all versions prior to 3.0.1.1b.

To create profile, drag shortcut icon to GJ window follow the prompts after that,
worked just fine for me.

Where do I get these newer versions??????

How to? I go to the download section and the only version available is 3.0.1.0 !!!!
