I am trying out the clone dvd, and when i put in the blank dvd, i get the above message.

Additionally, ensure that you don't have windvd, powerdvd or some other program running that is accessing the drive at the same time that you're using Clonedvd. Exit all extraneous programs . . .
 
I've had this prob before actually...Happens especially on Vista for some reason, latest versions of CloneDVD2 seem to be less problematic in this area though!
 
It usually means that you haven't let the computer recognize the disc before you hit write.
