Anyone managed to get Assassin's Creed to work?

Protection ID says it uses Safedisc 4.85.00

I'm using the beta GJ version 3.0.1.1

The game loads fine, but the profile only takes a few seconds to create, and the game asks for the original CD-ROM when you try to load it through GJ.

3. If you have virtual drives, disable them while profiling and playing profiles.

Hmmm... this damn "insert corrent cd/dvd" message is driving me nuts :bang:
We are actively looking at this error and are trying to get it sorted.

I'm assuming you have recreated the profile with v3.0.1.1?

Correct. I created the profile with 3.0.1.1 :bowdown:
 
something I have noticed with Assasins Creed is that when you run the game it refers to a place in Documents and Settings and "downloads" a file from there. At first I thought it was updating over the web but when I disconnected and ran the game I was able to browse when that message came up and saw that it was going to documents and settings. Will try to get the full path name when I get home...

/dont know if this info helps at all...
 
The next beta shows some promise with regards to the "Insert CD/DVD" error. Should be out in a day or 2... test again with that.
 
What was it?, if you dont mind me asking. New version of safe disk?
 
nope it will be the new version of GJ 3.0.1.2 i think or something like that...webslinger normally posts the new download...and address in a stickey

Well we can't be 100% sure if we have fixed as we can't replicate the problem here. However there was a driver redesign for v3, and we have identified an issue with the redesign that could cause this very problem. We shall see for beta v3.0.1.2

Its the driver. On vista theres normaly 2 well I have 3 and in vista there would be a driver called. DVD Drive or DVD RW Drive and the game is ment to be set on the DVD Drive it loads on our other drive making the game load but when u clike play it will or will not load you will get errors. It needs to be on DVD Drive this is not our problem they need to update the game and make it show on all drives so it will not have errors or anything anymore.
 
Did you create a new profile with v3.0.1.2?

Also, we are dealing with another bug which can cause this message to be displayed. This happens after creating a profile. If you get this message, shutdown GJ and then start it up again and test the profile.
 
sorry :( still not working,

i think GJ may have been black listed as it says correct dvd not insert dvd
 
Create a new profile and make sure image mode is checked. I have a feeling that this game will need an profile map. If so (if it works using image mode works, then a profile map will be required)... we will get one sorted for the next release.
