I have read the other posts that were regarding this issue except my situation is a bit different. I am trying to use it on a VPS running server 2003 64bit. The program installs fine but then after i restart i receive the error "Unable to load CloneCD device driver! windows must be restarted."

I have restarted a couple of times. And yes I have un-installed a couple of times as well. I am receiving an error in the event viewer:

The ElbyCDIO Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
This driver has been blocked from loading

Type: Error
Event ID: 7000

Microsoft's help is as follows:

PHP:
Explanation
Service Control Manager (SCM) could not start the specified service, probably because the service is not configured correctly.

User Action
Do one or all of the following:

Review the error information displayed in the message.
Verify that the service password has not expired.
Verify that the service is in the correct location.
Verify that the service is not infected with a virus.
To display the WIN32_EXIT_CODE error that SCM encountered when trying to start the program, at the command prompt, type
sc query service name
The information displayed can help you troubleshoot possible causes for the error.
If the WIN32_EXIT_CODE is zero, then SCM did not attempt to start the service because the error was detected first.

lol not much help there.

Any ideas?

server 2003 is XP with added services and programs

Yes, I realize that, but I don't see 2003 64 bit officially supported. It seems to me that if it were it would be listed.

What happens if you try not running it on a VPS?

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm not sure Clonecd would work properly on a local system over a server (except on the server that Clonecd is installed on). I think the driver would need to be installed locally, and consequently, the driver would also need to be listed locally in the filter stack in the local computer's registry. But I could be wrong.

Then either the issue is a compatibility issue with Windows 2003--or Clonecd isn't installed properly, in which case, I recommend you go through these steps: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=3652 (especially 1 and 4 . . . and note that step 4 requires you to post information).

That's all that's listed? In XP, by default, there's one other . . .

Yeah, anyway, I'm out of suggestions. You can try contacting Slysoft if you want: http://www.slysoft.com/contact.html

ya thats it...see the issue is that something is not allowing the driver to load...not to sure what it is...i went through everything i could think of. I even tried other virtual drive software and they either won't finish installing after the reboot or will give the same error.

No, that is the Clonecd driver. I would have expected imapi to be listed, since that's typically listed in XP by default.

I'm not sure what would be blocking it from loading (antivirus, security software maybe?).

Again, if you would like, you can contact Slysoft: http://www.slysoft.com/contact.html

Same problem for me.

I have a Plextor 760A 1.07fw

I was able to use all slysoft software in the past, Now it tells me my drives are not compatible.

So do I. But what I don't have are old versions of Anydvd and Clonedvd on my computer. So, I recommend you update.

Also, I can't reproduce your problem on two different computers (one with XP and one with Vista 64 bit ultimate edition) and both have a PX-760a in them.

That said, you might want to try not having media in the drive when you start Clonecd.
