When I open AnyDVD it tells me there is an update, so I download it and run it, enter my key, and it still says I have 6.1.1.4. (After I restart) Why won't this version run over the top of 6.1.1.4????

Try downloading it again. One of the update servers hung, this should be fixed now.

I just tried again and it's still doing the same thing. It just keeps telling me that it will be installing version 6.1.1.4. Should I maybe just try tomorrow?

With AnyDVD off, double click the setup and let it install it. Then, reboot your computer.

I have 16 days left trail 6.1.1.4
can I upgrade to 6.1.2.3 and can rip Anydvd HD with days left on my free trail or just only AnyDVD

That did not work either! I've never done it before, but do I have to disable any security? I'm still getting that it's installing 6.1.1.4. Even after I reboot, it says that there is a newer version.

Works here

8) thank you for quick reply:bowdown: :D

As a Beta I was the person James made 6.1.2.2 for to address a weird issue I alone (as far as I know) had. I just upgraded to 6.1.2.3 without any problem and all HD-DVD features remained enabled (with the HD key)

Can anyone tell me why I receive the message "error opening file for writing" when I try to downoad the latest update? I cannnot use Slysoft at all now. I am new to this Forum and am not sure how to get my message to the right person.

Thanks much.

With the incorporation of AnyDVD HD with AnyDVD, will the 21 day evaluation period begin running for registered AnyDVD owners after installing this version?
I have all the SS products now, but am not even close at this time to needing the HD add on due to equipment. (or lack of I should say)
Will there be a way for users like myself to evaluate the upgrade when we have the equipment we need in place, to rip HD disks?

When you have the equipment, uninstall your "classic" key. Then you have 21 days to evaluate.

I don't think anyone answered your question so I'll take a stab at it. It seems that AnyDVD didn't close down properly when it upgraded. That's no fun. :) What I would do is manually uninstall AnyDVD through add/remove programs. When it asks, tell it to KEEP your registration information. (Make sure you have your license backed up before doing this just in case. It's the file that was emailed to you when you bought AnyDVD) Once it's uninstalled, reboot your machine and you should be able to perform the install of the new version. Good luck!

I tried this three times..... I'm getting quite annoyed. I have tried uninstalling, booting, reinstalling, redownloading. I have never run across a problem like this, I upgrade it all the time.

Please temporarily disable any security products(norton internet security, for example), clear your browser cache, and redownload from the site. See if that helps at all.
